Afro Nation Portugal 2019 marked a turning point in global Black culture. Set on the shores of Portimão,
it brought tens of thousands of fans from over 100 countries into one space to celebrate Afrobeats, reggae,
dancehall and diasporic sound. The festival set a new benchmark for Black led live events and helped cement
Afrobeats as one of the most influential movements in contemporary music.
