Yam Carnival marked one of the UK’s first major post-lockdown cultural festivals, bringing thousands of people back together for a historic celebration on Clapham Common. Headlined by Davido, Kehlani, Yemi Alade and Beenie Man, the festival showcased the full spectrum of Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, R&B, and amapiano. The lineup featured NSG, Patoranking, Darkoo, Rema, Ms Banks, Omah Lay, Odeal, Vigro Deep, Focalistic, Koffee, Pa Salieu, Stonebwoy, King Promise, Midas The Jagaban and many more — creating a vibrant multi-genre experience that reflected the global influence of African music.
