From 1–3 July 2022, Afro Nation returned to Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão
with a landmark edition that cemented its status as Europe’s biggest urban music beach festival.
Thousands of fans from across Africa, Europe and the diaspora descended on Portugal for three days of
sun, sea and world-class performances.
Headlined by Burna Boy, Chris Brown and Wizkid, the festival became a defining moment in the global Afrobeats story — a full-scale celebration of Black music on one of Europe’s most iconic coastlines.
